CLEVELAND - PACS developer SmartPACS has signed an agreement with Voxar to integrate the Scottish firm's 3-D imaging software into its PACS offerings. SmartPACS Voxar workstations will be available as a standalone product or as a part of a total PACS network, according to Irvington, NJ-based SmartPACS.
The firm has also signed an agreement with North American Imaging to integrate the Auburn, CA-based firm's DICOM Box into its product line. DICOM Box provides DICOM conversion of non-DICOM imaging devices, the companies said.
In other SmartPACS news, the firm recently completed a large ASP installation at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ, in a multi-year deal valued at over $2.5 million. The PACS network integrates all imaging modalities and stores images on a RAID archive. Clinicians and other referring physicians have Web-based access to images throughout the hospital and from their offices, according to the company. Warren Hospital performs approximately 60,000 exams per year.
