Siemens to outfit Indiana heart center

Siemens Medical Solutions of Iselin, NJ, has signed a 10-year agreement to provide imaging and patient-monitoring equipment and information technology systems to The Heart Center of Indiana.

The facility, scheduled to open in December, is a $60-million specialty heart hospital in Indianapolis. Approximately 15 Siemens employees will be on-site to support the systems and provide services in areas such as admission and registration, account receivables, and account payables.

In addition, the hospital's cardiovascular doctors will work with Siemens in a variety of research and product-development opportunities, Siemens said.
