UCSF to install CTF magnetoencephalography system

CTF Systems of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, has been awarded a contract by the University of California, San Francisco to build and install a 275-channel magnetoencephalography (MEG) system.

Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvasive technique for localizing and characterizing the electrical activity of the central nervous system by measuring the associated magnetic fields emanating from the brain.

CTF develops and markets MEG systems, which provide information about brain function for research and for presurgical mapping of tumors, assessment of brain trauma, and epilepsy localization.
