Jerry Cirino, former president of Royal Philips Electronics’ Health Care Products (HCP) division, has been selected to head the merged company to be formed after the recent acquisitions of HCP and distributor Diagnostic Imaging by Los Angeles-based equity firm Platinum Equity.
Both businesses will continue to operate as separate entities under separate transitional services agreements with their respective parent companies. Details about the new company’s name, its management team, operational structure, and business plans will be forthcoming as the transition unfolds over the next several months, according to Platinum Equity.
