Capgemini to divest healthcare consulting unit

Consulting firm Capgemini of Paris has signed a deal to sell its North American healthcare project and consulting practice to Accenture for $175 million.

The agreement will involve some 600 Capgemini employees in the U.S. and Canada transferring to Accenture, a consulting and outsourcing firm based in New York City. Capgemini said the deal was a step in the company's plan, announced last year, to divest some 400 million euros ($523.6 million) in assets.
