Cedara Software, a subsidiary of Milwaukee-based Merge Healthcare, has inked a development agreement with Advanced Imaging Technologies (AIT) of Richland, WA, which markets the Aria breast imaging system.
Under the terms of the deal, Cedara will provide AIT with software technologies, including a console application for Aria, which uses holography to produce image sets and requires no breast compression or radiation. Cedara will also acquire an equity stake in AIT, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based company.
