Siemens Canada said it has signed a healthcare, building automation, fire and security, and communications contract with William Osler Health Centre (WOHC) for its new Brampton Civic Hospital, located in Brampton, Ontario.
The portion of the order handled by the company's Siemens Medical Solutions division includes MRI, CT, angiography, molecular imaging and nuclear medicine, catheterization lab, women's health, urology, radiography, RIS, and PACS products and technologies, the company said.
The 608-bed Brampton facility, scheduled for completion later this year, will be the largest hospital site in the province and is currently the largest healthcare infrastructure project of its kind in the country, according to Mississauga, Ontario-based Siemens Canada.
