Toronto-based Onex Healthcare Holdings has chosen Carestream Health as the new name for Eastman Kodak Health Group, when Onex completes the $2.55 billion acquisition of the Kodak subsidiary.
Onex plans to make Carestream Health a standalone company with more 8,100 employees worldwide.
The health division's parent company, Eastman Kodak of Rochester, NY, will receive $2.35 billion in cash at the closing of the deal, which is expected to take place in the first half of this year, plus up to $200 million in additional future payments based on earnings.
