GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., posted statistically flat sales for its 2007 fiscal first quarter, but saw an uptick in profitability in unaudited results released this week by the firm.
In the first quarter of 2007 (end-March 31), revenues essentially remained even at $3.641 billion, compared with $3.659 billion in the same quarter a year ago. Segment profit rose to $520 million, up 5% from the $496 million recorded in the first quarter of fiscal 2006.
