CardioDynamics moves closer to Vermed sale

Impedance cardiography (ICG) developer CardioDynamics said it is getting closer to a sale of its wholly owned subsidiary Vermed, a manufacturer of medical electrodes and medical sensors for use in medical physiological measurement applications.

More than 50% of the necessary shareholder votes (approximately 27% of outstanding shares) needed to approve the Vermed sale have been cast, CardioDynamics said.

The sale will allow San Diego, CA-based CardioDynamics to focus on its core technology, the company said. The decision will be finalized at the annual shareholders meeting on August 28, 2007.
