Given wins Veterans Affairs contract

Video-capsule endoscopy developer Given Imaging has secured a multiyear contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center, the company reported.

The five-year Federal Supply Schedule contract is worth $7.5 million, Given said, and consolidates existing accounts the company has with the U.S. government. It will give government entities easier access to Given Imaging's products, according to the Yoqneam, Israel-based firm.

The agreement covers VA medical centers, Department of Defense facilities, Indian Health Services, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and includes the company's Given Workstation, PillCam SB, PillCam ESO and Agile patency capsule.
