Royal Philips Electronics of Amsterdam, the parent company of Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has acquired Burton Medical Products, a provider of specialized lighting products for healthcare facilities, from the Norwegian industrial group Glamox.
Burton designs, manufactures, and distributes exam, diagnostic, and minor surgery lighting equipment.
The company will become part of the Professional Luminaires business group of Philips Lighting. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
