GE names new healthcare officers

GE Healthcare has appointed two new company officers with a focus on revenue-generating businesses.

First, Thomas Westrick has been appointed vice president of global simplification, controllership and risk management, for the healthcare division. Westrick started out with GE in 2003 after stints with Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting and risk management and insurance from the University of Wisconsin, GE said.

Second, Jason Hanson was appointed vice president and general counsel for GE Healthcare, after holding leadership roles at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International and Meidicis Pharmaceutical. Before that, he served as general counsel for GE Healthcare Technologies and GE Healthcare Americas and Healthcare Services. Hanson earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his doctorate of law from Duke University, GE said.
