Coronary imaging developer Infraredx has teamed up with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) on a new cardiovascular imaging research initiative.
Under the multiyear collaboration, Infraredx will work with MGH and prominent optical coherence tomography (OCT) researcher Dr. Gary Tearney, PhD, to research and develop new technologies for imaging coronary disease, according to Infraredx.
Infraredx and Tearney previously collaborated on the development of the firm's near-infrared spectroscopy technology, which is currently integrated into its dual-modality true vessel characterization (TVC) imaging system.
