Disposable products developer Merit Medical Systems has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for a new indication for its QuadraSphere therapeutic microspheres.
QuadraSphere microspheres can now also be used for embolization of malignant hepatoma, also known as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), according to the company.
