GE Healthcare has inked a seven-year deal with Temple University Health System in Philadelphia aimed at providing higher-quality radiologic imaging services while saving millions in operational costs.
Under the agreement, Temple and GE will target improvements in specific operational, clinical, and financial outcomes. GE will provide imaging equipment, data storage and retrieval, service contract consolidation, and consultation to optimize scheduling and workflow efficiency, according to the vendor.
Financial incentives in the deal align GE and Temple toward realizing shared objectives, including a targeted $39 million in operational savings over the life of the contract, GE said.
The contract applies to the radiology departments at Temple University Hospital's Main, Episcopal, and Northeastern campuses, as well as Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jeanes Hospital.
