GE Healthcare taps new leader of U.S. and Canada region

GE Healthcare has named a new president and CEO of its U.S. and Canada region, effective January 1, 2016.

Lee Cooper was named to the post, replacing Marcelo Mosci, who is retiring in April 2016 after 16 years with the company. Mosci served in the position for the past six years.

Cooper is a 25-year GE veteran who comes to the position from the company's Energy Management business, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing. He previously served as GE's chief commercial officer, during which time he removed bureaucracy, improved corporate processes, and enabled local decision-making, according to the firm.
