Budapest, Hungary-based Mediso Medical Imaging Systems is highlighting the first U.S. installation of its nanoScan 7-tesla PET/MRI scanner at Northeastern University’s Center for Translational NeuroImaging in Boston.
Intended for structural, functional, and molecular imaging in preclinical research, the ultrahigh-field system combines MRI and PET imaging into a single platform, according to Mediso.
The system, supported by Ekam Imaging’s advanced awake imaging protocols, enables awake animal fMRI toward functional connectivity mapping, the company noted, adding that it will be used for neuroscience research and drug development.
