Siemens Healthineers has completed the first U.S. installation of its Multitom Rax twin robotic x-ray system.
The diagnostic imaging system is in place at University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City.
Multitom Rax is designed for use in multiple clinical areas, including emergency medicine, interventional radiology, pain management, and orthopedics. It can be used to perform exams ranging from conventional 2D radiography to fluoroscopy and angiography, in one room, the company said.
Currently, 3D imaging on Multitom Rax is only possible with 3D-capable postprocessing software.
