Raymond Wtulich, manager of marketing communications at Hitachi Medical Systems America (HMSA), has died. He was 53.
Wtulich began his career in radiology in 1985 as a nuclear medicine technologist at Akron City Hospital, where he worked for more than four years. He worked at several nuclear medicine vendors in the 1990s before joining HMSA in 2002, first managing the company's PET marketing operations and then all of HMSA's marketing communications starting in 2005.
"Ray was a great person with a real passion for the medical imaging business, and will be missed within the Hitachi Medical Systems America organization," said Sheldon Schaffer, vice president and general manager of MR/CT at HMSA.
