Carestream Health has finished installing 16 DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray units at several University of Florida (UF) healthcare facilities.
The devices are now in operation at the UF Health Shands Hospital, the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital, and the new UF Health Heart and Vascular and Neuromedicine hospitals that opened in December. The facilities have a combined total of 1,091 beds.
The portable x-ray systems are used in multiple intensive care unit (ICU), neonatal and burn ICU, operating room, emergency room (ER), and pediatric ER areas, as well as inpatient rooms. Both UF Health's main hospital and cancer hospital average more than 6,650 mobile x-ray exams per month.
