The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) announced that Intermountain Healthcare plans to adopt the network's imaging appropriate use criteria (NCCN Imaging AUC) for lung cancer.
Intermountain serves patients across Utah and southeastern Idaho. It will incorporate the NCCN's appropriate use criteria for lung cancer with its own AUC and use the content for decision support, the network said.
Both the NCCN and Intermountain are recognized by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as approved provider-led entities for the development of imaging AUC, according to the NCCN.
