Breast imaging software developer Ikonopedia has secured additional financing from Texas Women Ventures (TWV) Capital, a private equity firm in Dallas.
The funds were part of a $2 million round of series C preferred stock financing, and they will help Ikonopedia continue to develop its customer base and exam volume, the company said. TWV Capital Managing Director and co-founder Whitney Martin will join Ikonopedia's board of directors.
Ikonopedia has initiated or completed installations at Sinai Health System in Chicago; Diagnostic Clinic of Longview in Texas; Invision Diagnostics in Palm City, FL, and Charlotte, NC; Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska in Fairbanks; and Maui Medical Group in Hawaii, according to the firm.
