Disposable products developer Merit Medical Systems reported strong increases in revenue and net income in its 2019 fiscal first quarter.
For the period (end-March 31), Merit had revenue of $238.3 million, up 17.4% from the $203 million reported in 2018 fiscal first quarter. On a comparable, constant currency basis, revenue would have increased 10% compared with the same period last year.
The firm had net income under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) of $6.2 million, compared with GAAP net income of $5.3 million in the 2018 fiscal first quarter.
