Shimadzu Medical Systems USA (SMS) has completed its integration of x-ray products distributor Core Medical Imaging (CMI) as a subsidiary of the company.
The former CMI will become SMS Northwest and will continue to operate at its current location of Kenmore, WA. SMS Northwest distributes digital radiography panels, portable x-ray equipment, and mammography systems to healthcare institutions in the Northwest region of the U.S. and services MRI and CT scanners
The company has served as a dealer for several vendors, including Shimadzu, since 2000. Shimadzu acquired CMI in January 2019 to expand its business in North America.
