Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has added power-assist technology to its line of RADspeed Pro high-end radiography rooms.
RADspeed Pro with Glide Technology features a new power-assisted technology, called Power Glide, that can help radiologic technologists position the system more smoothly and comfortably, according to the company.
Power Glide senses the amount of force applied by a radiologic technologist during each operation and calculates how much assist-force is required; it then activates motors to provide optimal operating assistance smoothly in real-time.
Power Glide joins Glide View for mobile x-ray and Glide Assist for radiography/fluoroscopy in Shimadzu's portfolio of Glide Technology offerings.
