The average annual volume of patients accommodated per angiographic room increases with hospital size, according to IMV's 2000 Census of Angiography Sites.
This average increases over 60%, from about 800 patients per room in hospitals having fewer than 400 beds, to about 1,300 in hospitals over 400 beds in size.
The pattern suggests that the largest hospitals have a large increase in unit productivity.
