Agfa and Siemens join in U.S. service agreement

A nationwide service agreement in the U.S. will enable Siemens customers to receive priority service from Agfa HealthCare on Agfa imagers, network devices, and film-handling and processing systems that are sold by Siemens.

Siemens Medical Solutions of Iselin, NJ, is already selling Agfa medical imaging equipment to its customers, with service provided on a time-and-materials basis, according to Siemens. Officials with Agfa, of Ridgefield Park, NJ, said the new agreement will make it possible for Siemens customers to know up front what it will cost to purchase Agfa systems and to keep them operating. Siemens will also be involved in designing Agfa systems under the relationship.
