Radiation therapy firm Huestis Medical said it will begin selling the AccuTracker precision measuring pen (from Precision Technology Devices). AccuTracker performs precision linear measurement and ratio calculations of arbitrarily complex shapes, areas, and volumes critical to medical image interpretation, according to Bristol, RI-based Huestis.

AccuTracker is the size of a laser pointer and weighs only one ounce. It utilizes a self-aligning optical detector and internal microprocessor to perform imaging and graphical measurements to an accuracy of 0.023 cm, according to Huestis.
