Medicare to cover Endocare's cryosurgery prostate cancer treatment

Cryosurgery developer Endocare has announced that the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) has approved Medicare coverage for cryosurgical procedures. The coverage will apply to cryosurgical procedures used to treat prostate cancer patients who have not responded to radiation therapy, according to the Irvine, CA-based vendor.
