Therapeutic embolization and thoracoscopy are in; chylopericardium and chicken pox are out, according to the latest version of the RSNA Index to Imaging Literature, which is now online.
In addition to Radiology and Radiographics, other indexed journals include American Journal of Roentgenology, European Journal of Radiology and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Several international journals are also on the list, which covers two years worth of publications from 1997 to 1999.
In total, about 200 subject terms were deleted from the index in 1999, while about 20 were reworded. For example, therapeutic blockade is now therapeutic embolization. Contrast agents has also been changed to contrast media.
Searching the index can be done either by browsing an alphabetical list of terms or designating an author, title and/or subject.
