Imaging center chain HealthCare Integrated Services of Shrewsbury, NJ, has signed capitated contracts with Aetna U.S. Healthcare for two of its medical imaging facilities: Echelon Diagnostic Imaging in Voorhees, NJ, and Mainland Diagnostic Imaging in Northfield, NJ. The three-year contracts commence on April 1 and July 1, 2001, respectively.
Under the agreements, Aetna will pay HCIS a monthly per-member fee for all imaging services, except for MRI, MR angiography, and ob/gyn ultrasound. HCIS will be reimbursed on a fee-for-service basis for those imaging studies.
