The Alexandria, VA-based American Medical Group Association (AMGA) has released the results of its 2000-2001 productivity and compensation survey for U.S. physicians. For the period, the survey found that physicians specializing in dermatology, emergency care, and radiology experienced the largest increases in compensation.
The survey includes salary and productivity data on physicians in 96 specialties, 25 other healthcare provider positions, and 15 administrative positions. The information is broken down and presented by the size of the group, the location of the group, and total relative value units.
The 16th annual survey contains compensation and productivity data from more than 31,000 medical group physicians, and was conducted by Bloomington, MN-based accounting firm RSM McGladrey. The survey can be ordered online at the AMGA Website: http://www.amga.org.
