The American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) reported that 64% of the 28 radiology administrators who took its certified radiology administrator (CRA) examination on March 19 this year received a passing score and are CRAs. There are currently 485 CRAs in the U.S., according to the Sudbury, MA-based AHRA.
The organization also said that the CRA exam will be administered in paper-and-pencil format at its annual meeting in San Antonio on August 6.
To have an applicant's eligibility reviewed for the exam, a CRA exam application must be postmarked by June 22 for the August 6 exam. The CRA exam will be administered in a computer-based format on November 4 at approximately 115 CompUSA Testing Centers located in 35 states. The CRA exam application must be postmarked by September 20 for the computer-based format exam, the AHRA said.
Applications are available by calling the AHRA offices at 978-443-7591, or online at the society's Web site.
