Atlanta-based Urgent Care Centers (UCC) has completed its acquisition of the Boykins Family Practice in Boykins, VA. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With the purchase, the imaging center and urgent care operator enters the walk-in clinic market and increases its in-house diagnostic capabilities.
UC said it also is considering sites in Louisiana, Virginia, and Maryland for expansion. Plans are already under way for sites in Cleveland, as well as Greenville and Coppell, TX. Many of these sites will house 64-slice CT scanners and ultrasound equipment.
