Dear Imaging Center Insider,
Your car's dashboard helps you navigate safely, offering key information -- such as how fast you're going, whether the engine is too hot, and how much gas is left in the tank -- that you'd be literally lost without. So, too, can a radiology "dashboard" help your department navigate and assess the complex processes involved in patient care.
Radiologic technologist and award-winning administrator Joni Schott is the business operations manager of radiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. At the 2007 American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) meeting in Orlando, FL, she offered her expert guidance on how to develop and implement this important tracking tool.
