Florida Hospital forms own radiology group

After contract negotiations with its longtime radiology services provider broke down this spring, Florida Hospital of Altamonte Springs has decided to form its own radiology group, the hospital reported.

The new group, Radiology Specialists of Florida, will provide exclusive radiology services to the seven-hospital system beginning June 4. The new group will be owned and operated by Florida Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.

Half of the new radiology group's physicians are from Florida Radiology Associates, Florida Hospital's former radiology group, according to an article in the Orlando Sentinel.
