NIA, NDMA to collaborate on benchmark program

Radiology benefits-management services provider National Imaging Associates (NIA) said it has inked an agreement with National Digital Medical Archive (NDMA) of Berwyn, PA.

Hackensack, NJ-based NIA and NDMA plan to create Image Quality Collaborative, a program that will provide participating imaging centers with analysis of the CT, MRI, and other radiology exams they conduct. The program will help centers track specific trends and measure their image quality and performance against local and national peers, according to the firms.

Within two hours of each scan, the program will collect data elements and compare them against national standards and protocols established by the American College of Radiology (ACR), NIA said. The center will then receive reports on these analyses.
