Radiologist salaries rise in 2008; get a free radiology textbook

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

The headlines may be full of economic doom and gloom, but salaries for radiologists actually grew in 2008 -- albeit ever so slightly.

That's according to results from the 2009 edition of SalaryScan, AuntMinnie.com's annual survey of wages and benefits in medical imaging. Located in our recently redesigned Career Center, SalaryScan lets you see how your salary stacks up against those of your peers.

The good news for radiologists comes after a disappointing 2007, in which their salaries declined slightly. On the other hand, radiologic technologists experienced yet another year of stagnant wages, with average 2008 salaries showing little growth over 2007 salaries -- which were also flat compared to 2006.
