The rate of imaging use in U.S. emergency departments is growing, according to a study from researchers at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Vijay Rao, MD, and colleagues found that the overall utilization rate per 1,000 patients for all imaging in emergency departments increased a whopping 60% between 2000 and 2008.
