Virtual background developer Sky Factory will introduce a new eco-friendly version of its SkyCeiling virtual skylight at next week's RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
Compatible with MRI and all other radiology applications, the EcoSlim LED Luminous SkyCeiling features an edge-lit LED system that contains virtually none of the toxic elements of fluorescents, has a life expectancy of 50,000 to 100,000 hours, and costs 15% less to operate for comparable illumination, according to the firm. The EcoSlim lighting unit also features a compact profile and its frames are made from 76% recycled aluminum, Sky Factory said.
