Workers' compensation physical medicine manager MedRisk has purchased imaging network Medical Diagnostic Associates Management (MDIA).
The acquisition of Calabasas, CA-based MDIA marks the entry of MedRisk into the diagnostic imaging market for workers' compensation, according to MedRisk.
MDIA provides access to physician-managed imaging services for the workers' compensation community. Its customers include insurance carriers, self-insured employers, third-party administrators, state funds, general managed care companies, case management companies, and claim adjusters, according to the firm.
