Responding to requests for additional time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reopened the comment period for two draft guidances on the use of social media in connection with medical devices and drugs.
Comments will be allowed for an additional 30 days beginning September 29. The two draft guidances are as follows:
- Internet/Social Media Platforms With Character Space Limitations: Presenting Risk and Benefit Information for Prescription Drugs and Medical Devices
- Internet/Social Media Platforms: Correcting Independent Third-Party Misinformation About Prescription Drugs and Medical Devices
