National medical group Mednax has purchased Jefferson Radiology and Jefferson Imaging Assoc. in Hartford, CT.
Established in 1963, Jefferson Radiology has 60 physicians and serves as the exclusive radiology services provider to seven regional hospitals: Harford Hospital, Windham Hospital, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Day Kimball Healthcare, Griffin Hospital, Holyoke Medical Center, and Baystate Noble Hospital, according to Mednax. Jefferson Radiology is the third radiology services practice Mednax has acquired in 2017.
With the deal, Mednax's affiliated radiologists will read nearly 9 million studies each year, according to the company.
