U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Tom Price has resigned his position, according to a Politico report.
Price resigned in the face of federal inquiries into his use of private and government planes for travel -- at a cost to taxpayers of more than $1 million since May, Politico said.
He is the first Trump administration Cabinet secretary to step down. Deputy Assistant Health Secretary Dr. Don Wright will serve as acting secretary of the agency, according to the report.
