The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) of Rosslyn, VA, reported that its medical imaging division has taken on a new name, the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA).
NEMA said the new name provides a broad umbrella for the diverse technologies and companies that comprise medical imaging, including diagnostic technology, radiation therapy, image-guided treatment, health information systems, and telehealth, among others. MITA will remain a division of NEMA and can be contacted via its Web site at www.medicalimaging.org.
