The resurgent COVID-19 pandemic has claimed another radiology meeting. The AHRA on January 18 announced that it would postpone its Conference for Leadership in Imaging Management & Business (CLIMB) meeting, scheduled to take place February 15-17 in Savannah, GA.
The CLIMB meeting is designed for radiology professionals in leadership and management roles. It has special tracks for aspiring leaders in radiology, as well as radiology professionals who have taken on new positions, opportunities, or challenges.
In its announcement, the AHRA said that the challenges presented by new variants of the virus causing COVID-19 -- including staff shortages at hospitals and rising patient counts -- forced the group to cancel the show, "as an in-person event at this time is not in the best interest of the healthcare and imaging community at large," the group said.
Other recent radiology meetings that have been postponed or moved to virtual include the European Congress of Radiology and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Mid-Winter and American College of Nuclear Medicine (ACNM) annual meeting.
