The RSNA has initiated a new award that will recognize individuals in the radiologic sciences who have made "exceptional contributions to patient care and health care delivery through service to the community."
Candidate nominations for the society's inaugural Outstanding Community Impact Award will be accepted between March 18 and April 30. Nominees must be members of RSNA or the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) who have shown "measurable impact on the community through their leadership and advocacy in the field of radiology," the RSNA said.
The award will be presented during the RSNA 2024 annual meeting in Chicago.
