A Japanese radiologist has been arrested on suspicion of using a smartphone to film a woman's breasts while she was having an x-ray, according to a report published on March 3 in Japan Today.
The outlet reported that Masamichi Hidaka, MD, of Koshigaya Municipal Hospital, is alleged to have filmed the breasts of a woman in her 20s during an x-ray, using a smartphone in his coat pocket, on February 27. The woman noticed Hidaka's phone aimed at her and suspected it was recording; she notified a hospital employee after her x-ray exam was completed, the report stated.
"Police said Hidaka has admitted to the allegation and quoted him as saying, 'She was the type of woman I liked, so I wanted to keep a record of it,' " Japan Today reported, noting that police are looking into whether the radiologist has any previous history of this sort of activity.
