The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has joined the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the RSNA as a RadiologyInfo.org partner.
The website is a source of information for patients, families, and healthcare providers about the role of medical imaging, image-guided therapy, and radiation therapy in healthcare, the ASRT said. Its resources are available in English and Spanish, and it provides information about x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and radiation therapy. It also offers information about procedures, safety protocols, and pediatric care, as well as tests and treatments.
The RSNA and the ACR launched RadiologyInfo.org in 2000, and it averages more than 11 million visitors per year. The ASRT will incorporate the website into its communication and campaign initiatives to allow its more than 156,000 members to share the information with patients, educators, and the public, it said.
